MR. E...

I'm currently marveling at the fact that I apparently can't boil water so well.

I'm attempting to make macaroni and cheese, cause it sounded good but we don't have any dumbass-proof microwaveable kinds, so I'm doing the stovetop thing. And it said it should boil for like 10-12 minutes, and Ithink it's been about 20 so far (but I forgot to check what time it was when I started, so... ya know) and it's definitely not at the 'desired level of tenderness' yet. But hey, at least nothing's burned yet, either.

Ok, I'm back with a finished product. The cheese part... it kinda frightened me. I'm nt sure what I was expecting, but I opened the cheese packet and a large block of suspicious orange-yellow substance plopped out. It was bizarre. Now, I've eaten MRE's before; hell, I've enjoyed MREs. I'm no stranger to opening a packet and having some freakish substance slide out, passed off as food. (Like the MRE cheese omelets; WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?) But I guess I just didn't expect it from Kraft mac & cheese. Cause, you know, Kraft is known for being gourmet. O_o Anyway. it just startled me. The end result is edible, but that mysterious cheese substance is unnaturally strong.

See, this is what I get for trying to cook...
